Through body percussion, interactive musical games, body awareness, and creative group dynamics, we explore the body’s natural rhythm, the voice, and spontaneous expression.

During the sessions, participants experience the collective creation of music and, depending on the age group, are also introduced to elements of musical composition.

Beyond the artistic aspect, group musical practice deeply stimulates the brain: when we interact musically, we simultaneously activate areas related to memory, motor coordination, language, attention, and emotion.

This integrated stimulation enhances cognition, strengthens creative intelligence, and contributes to healthier and more balanced development — something especially valuable during formative years.

At the same time, music encourages emotional release, strengthens teamwork, and develops empathetic listening and cooperation among participants.

The RespiraSOM Workshop is an experiential practice that integrates functional breathing, music, and endogenous sound therapy (the natural sounds of the voice), guiding participants into a deeper state of presence and self-regulation.

Conceived by Thyagi Ryan, an integrative music therapist and creator of the RespiraSOM System, the experience combines guided breathing practices, rhythm, vocal toning, and attentive listening — elements that resonate with studies in neuroscience, bioacoustics, and the regulation of the autonomic nervous system.

During the session, participants are guided through dynamics that use breath, rhythm, and vocal sounds to expand body awareness, support the release of tension and emotional processes, and cultivate a state of deep relaxation.

The practice stimulates nervous system regulation, improves the oxygenation of cells, tissues, and organs, and helps reduce stress and cortisol levels. As a result, many participants report greater mental clarity, enhanced cognitive capacity, and a stronger sense of balance and vitality.

More than a breathing practice, the RespiraSOM Workshop is a meeting point between the body, sound, and the science of well-being — where breath, voice, and the sounds created in the environment become therapeutic tools to reconnect individuals with their presence, vitality, and essential nature.

Professional Experiences

Thyagi Ryan has extensive experience as a workshop facilitator in the UK, where he conducted musical workshops for self-development in schools, companies, and for educators. He spent eight years as a professional music performer, sharing his original compositions throughout the UK. Thyagi was instrumental in bringing the Wim Hof Method to Brazil, co-facilitating breathwork workshops across the country. In 2020, he developed the RespiraSOM system, launching his own tour and creating an online Academy,The Academia Viva.
Since then, he has been traveling and guiding individuals through workshops, therapies, and one-to-one or group sessions, communicating fluently in both English and Portuguese. Having studied with renowned spiritual teachers such as Mooji and Shibendu Lahiri, Thyagi brings a deep, holistic approach to his work, helping individuals reconnect with their essence and presence.
Thyagi is a licensed Music Teacher, with Post Graduation in Music Therapy and a Certification in Hipnotherapy.
